Graveside service for James Barnett, 66, of Argyle was held Thursday April 26, 2012 at 3 p.m. at Belew Cemetery in Aubrey.

Barnett died Monday, April 23, 2012.

Born June 3, 1945 to Jim and Billie Barnett in Van Alstyne, he married Alice Fay Hammons Feb. 3, 1964 in Pilot Point. He worked for Southwestern Equipment in Justin for 20 years.

He is survived by his wife; sons, James T. Barnett and wife Brandi of Argyle, Donald Wayne Barnett and wife Nikki of Little Elm; daughters, Ruth Walters and husband Kirk of Argyle, Teresa A. Heimdal and husband Barry of Sanger; brother, Richard Barnett of Amarillo; sister, Muriel Allen of Grass Valley, Cal., eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceeded in death by a son, James; grandson, J.T. Barnett; and sister, Barbara Park.
