Northwest Texans Baseball is having a Spring Training Clinic for area youth 4-6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9 at the Northwest High School indoor facility, located on the west side of the high school near the tennis courts. This clinic is for 2nd-6th graders.

The Justin Youth Association is accepting online sign-ups for the Spring Season through Saturday, Jan. 19.

Northwest High School will hold a softball clinic for grades 3-6 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, Jan. 19 at the NHS indoor facility.

The Northwest Texans closed out their non-district schedule with a 55-42 win over the Paschal Panthers Tuesday.

The Northwest Texans made school history this year with their football program, and recently they were represented well for their accomplishments on the District 4-5A All-District team.

Keller took care of Northwest in the district opener for both teams Tuesday, Dec. 18, 56-26. The Lady Texans fell behind 14-4 at the end of the first quarter and trailed 33-11 at the half.

Zach Kirkland made a late charge to earn a top-20 finish Saturday in the Class 5A boys race at the University Interscholastic League cross country championships.

Northwest made history with their win Friday.

The Northwest Texans still have a couple of goals in front of them before they enter the postseason next week.

Northwest will be sending two runners to the state meet in Round Rock Saturday.
